Well for a bunch of lads with a mad idea, zero real backend knowledge, and working across three different time zones, taking a punt on the team at Cosmo Tec turned out to be an absolute home run. From day one, sitting down with Mark and Cuty to map out the scope (and the inevitable roadblocks), they were sharp, straightforward, and properly collaborative. The project itself involved integrating with multiple hardware devices and building cross-platform for both iOS and Android — not exactly plug-and-play. We had direct communication with the dev team the whole way through, with steady updates and no mystery gaps. Two big highlights: 1. They improved the plan instead of just building what we asked. We came in with an end goal and what we thought was a solid approach. Once the team got stuck in and did deeper research, they came back with a more robust and more cost-effective system that’ll scale far better. And to be honest, they could’ve easily built it exactly the way we requested, then made more money later rebuilding it when we hit scale issues. Instead, they designed the proof of concept on the stronger foundation from the start — which probably reduced their own future earnings, but massively benefited us. Even the original hardware developers didn’t fully realise the latent potential the Cosmo Tec team uncovered, and they’re now really interested to see where we take it. 2. Phase 1 (proof of concept MVP) delivered — and then some. The MVP was a proper win. We’re already moving into Phase 2 with Cosmo Tec to build it out into something genuinely special. So far, everything has been a “yes” — and with the kind of ideas we’re throwing at them, that’s huge. Would highly recommend the team. Looking forward to a long working relationship with them.
